Repairs process

We're here when you need us. Making a repair request is quick, clear and handled by our UK-based team from start to finish.

Start your repair request

Four steps from fault to fixed.

No jargon, no runaround. Here's exactly what happens when something goes wrong — and we settle the bill directly with the garage.

01

Check your plan

Have a look through your warranty documents first to confirm the fault you've noticed is covered under your level of plan.

02

Get it diagnosed

Take your car to any VAT-registered garage. Ask them to note the cause of the failure along with parts and labour costs.

03

We assess & authorise

Once we receive the diagnosis and costings we review the request. Approved repairs get a Repairs Authorisation Number so work can begin.

04

Collect your car

The garage invoices us in our name. You pick up your keys and we handle payment directly with the garage.

Two things worth knowing: if continuing to drive could make the fault worse, call our recovery line on 0800 000 0001 before going anywhere. And repairs must not begin until an authorisation number has been issued — work carried out without one can’t be covered.

FAQs

Repair questions, straight answers.

My car has developed a fault — what should I do first?
Get in touch as soon as you notice an issue you think is covered by your plan and we'll guide you through the process. If driving any further could make the damage worse, call our recovery line first.
Where can I get my car repaired?
Any VAT-registered garage in the UK. If you're not sure where to go, submit a repair request and our team will help you find one nearby.
Do you cover wear and tear?
We cover parts that have failed prematurely for the vehicle's age and mileage. Normally worn parts aren't covered by any warranty, and consumables — brake pads and discs, wiper blades, bulbs and other routinely replaced items — fall outside wear and tear cover.
How long will my repair take?
It varies with the garage, the fault and parts availability. We issue authorisation promptly once we've reviewed the diagnosis, so work can start without delay.
What if part of my repair isn't covered?
You'll only pay for work that falls outside your plan, and we'll make sure you know exactly what that is before anything goes ahead — no surprises on collection day.
Can I use a main dealer?
Yes. Keep in mind that main dealer labour and parts rates usually exceed our coverage limits, so you may need to pay the difference.
Which parts do you authorise?
We cover OEM-quality parts and won't dictate which brand the garage uses. If you specifically choose pricier main-dealer parts, you'd pay the difference above our coverage limit.
Do I pay for the diagnostics?
The initial diagnostic cost is usually yours. If the diagnosed fault turns out to be covered, up to one hour of diagnostic time may be included in your claim within your plan limits.
